Who is this event for?
All military spouses in the Hampton Roads community are welcome, whether you arrived last week or have lived here for years. If you want to meet other spouses, discover local resources, or simply enjoy a well-deserved day out, this event is for you.
Is this a job fair?
No. The goal is to create a fun, supportive, and celebratory atmosphere where you can connect with resources for your career, family, and personal well-being. Think of it as a day to invest in yourself.
What kinds of resources will be there?
The Resource Marketplace will include organizations focused on military spouse employment, education, family support, volunteer opportunities, and mental health and wellness. The Shop & Stroll also introduces you to local Hilton Village businesses.
What should I wear?
Smart casual and comfortable is perfect. You’ll be networking, sitting for a panel, and walking around Hilton Village, so comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just bring yourself. A phone, notepad, and reusable tote bag may be useful for photos, notes, and anything you pick up while shopping.
How do I get one of the $25 Visa gift cards?
The first 20 military spouses who check in at the registration table beginning at 9:00 AM will receive a $25 Visa gift card. The gift cards are first-come, first-served.
How does the Shop & Stroll passport work?
You’ll receive a passport map at registration. Visit the participating stores and collect a stamp at each stop. Complete the entire passport and turn it in to be entered into the raffle for gifts and local experiences.
Is the event free?
Yes. The event is completely free for military spouses, but space is limited, so advance registration is required.
What if I register and can no longer attend?
Please cancel your registration as soon as possible so your space can be offered to another military spouse.
