    Job DescriptionSecured Network Solutions, Inc., a leading voice and data company in the Hampton Roads area, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Structured Cabling Technician – Great opportunity for someone who is a self-starter and motivated individual seeking a long-term position with opportunity for advancement within the structured cabling or construction industry.\\Candidates are required to have two years experience in the structured cabling industry.\\In addition, to be considered for employment, the following requirements must be met:\\Qualifications:\-High school diploma or equivalent (preferred);\-Pass pre-employment drug screening (required);\-Pass pre-employment background check for base access passes (required);\-Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required);\-Have reliable transportation for getting to various job sites (required);\-2 years of experience in the cabling industry (required);\\Schedule:\Monday to Friday 8-hour shift\Overtime opportunities\Night shifts may be required based on business needs\Weekend work is sometimes required\\Experience:\-Cabling/Construction Industry: 2 years (required);\Experience across all comms cabling types (copper, fiber, coaxial) (required);\-Experience in ISP and OSP (required);\-BICSI certification (preferred).\\Benefits:\Health insurance\Dental insurance\Vision insurance\Paid time off (PTO)\401(k)\Referral program\Waiting period may apply\Only full-time employees are eligible
    Key Responsibilities-Cabling Installation: Lead the installation of cabling systems, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and project timelines.\-General Labor Duties: Perform a variety of tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required.\-Blueprint and Documentation: Label blueprints, maintain accurate As-Builts, and assist with IT room build-outs and IDC terminations. Assist with the installation of cabling systems in commercial settings.\-Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.\-Drive company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to job sites.\Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.\-Maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to traffic laws while on the job.\-Lift items over 50 lbs, work off ladders, lifts, and aerial platforms, and work in confined spaces.\-Discern colors for tasks such as cable color coding.
