| Job Description | The Lead Worker- Janitor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of subordinate staff in the maintenance of the Federal contract. This person plans, assigns, and directs work to be done in accordance with contract requirements, Didlake’s policies and procedures and applicable laws. |

| Key Responsibilities | This position organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates assigned staff in the following tasks:\\Cleaning hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.\Cleaning floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.\Polishing metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.\Washing windows, door panels, and sills.\Emptying wastebaskets.\Replenishing bathroom supplies and floor supplies.\Setting an example through dependability, hard work, strong business ethics, and personal appearance.\Assigning tasks and issuing supplies and equipment to staff and inspecting completed work for conformance to standards.\Requisitioning supplies and equipment from the Project Manager.\Training employees in how to do assigned work and in using equipment and supplies appropriately.\Addressing complaints and resolving problems of employees and customers; referring to supervisor as necessary.\May fill in for general cleaning staff as needed.\Responsible for fostering a positive team spirit and producing quality work.\Responsible for appropriate conduct and/or demeanor as dictated by Didlake policy and procedure.\Completes required paperwork and/or documentation.\Acts as a good steward of employer and government resources.\Responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities.\May Transport individual teams, supplies, and equipment to the work site as necessary to complete the required tasks.\Completes and maintains all required Didlake training. |

| Skills and Experience | Education & Experience \High school diploma or GED, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from the 12th grade. \One (1) year of recent, relevant experience in commercial custodial or maintenance services. \\Skills & Abilities \Have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Didlake's automobile policy. Requirements include but are not limited to a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving and being at least 25 years old. \Ability to pass and maintain a security clearance background check. \Working knowledge of custodial equipment and chemicals, including scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, and EZ-Go equipment. \Ability to read simple instructions, distinguish between words and numbers, and communicate verbally and in writing using simple sentences. \Ability to remind and retrain staff on standard operating procedures and safe equipment use. \Ability to exercise good judgment in daily responsibilities. \Knowledge of general cleaning products and equipment. \High initiative, adaptability, reliability, flexibility, and a positive team-oriented attitude. \Access to the work site for this position will require a valid Real ID. |
