    Job DescriptionUnder limited supervision, the Store Worker Lead leads a work team of diverse individuals while prioritizing, assigning and coordinating team activities to stock merchandise in a retail environment, such as a commissary on a military base. This job class requires practical skill and knowledge of stocking and merchandising practices intended for display and resale purposes, and the ability to perform quality work with attention to knowing and using safe work practices.
    Key Responsibilities1. *Prioritize and assign tasks, including coordination of work schedules to ensure coverage, rebalancing as necessary for special projects and customer satisfaction.\2. *Maintain supplies and equipment to ensure proper operation and safe condition.\3. *Train workers in the safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards.\4. *Train and assist workers in performing duties.\5. *Monitor progress of tasks and inspect completed work to ensure quality.\6. *Investigate discrepancies and report them to management, recommending improvements to resolve issues.\7. *Monitor usage of inventory, supplies and equipment.\8. Initiate supply/repair orders when inventory is low or replacements/repairs are required.\9. *Prepare records and reports as needed.\10. *Maintain a good relationship with workers and customer.\11. *Stock merchandise on shelves, rotate product, and rearrange misplaced products.\12. *Remove excess, outdated and damaged products, debris and cardboard.\13. *Straighten merchandise in display sales areas for a neat, full, salable appearance. Rotate merchandise to maintain freshness and sale dates.\14. *Return excess merchandise to storage.\15. *Clean and dust shelves and products on or in display fixtures using various techniques common to the retail trade.\16. *Perform wet and dry clean-up.\17. *May operate a manual pallet jack, flat-bed/U-Boat cart.\18. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.\ \\* Denotes Essential Job Function

    Skills and Experience• Maneuvering in and around the commissary\• Bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and reaching\• Lifting and/or carrying up to 25 pounds\• Pulling and/or pushing up to 75 pounds\• Grasping both small & large objects\• Climbing/standing on ladders, step stools, and/or rolling stairs\• Coordinating skills to place and rotate products on shelf
