    Job DescriptionThe Companion Caregiver provides non-medical companionship and supportive services to clients in their homes to help promote independence, emotional well-being, and quality of life. This role focuses on social interaction, emotional support, light assistance with daily routines, and creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for clients. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, patient, and enjoys building positive relationships with seniors and adults requiring supportive care.
    Key ResponsibilitiesProvide companionship, conversation, and emotional support to clients during scheduled visits. Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, organization, reminders, errands, and engagement in social or recreational activities. Encourage participation in daily routines and activities while observing and reporting changes in client behavior or condition to agency staff. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, accurate documentation, and consistent communication while supporting clients in a respectful and compassionate manner.

    Skills and ExperienceCandidates should have a minimum of one (1) year of experience providing companionship, caregiving, customer service, or related support services, either professionally or personally. The ideal candidate must demonstrate patience, compassion, professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills. Applicants should be comfortable working independently in a home setting while providing emotional support, conversation, light assistance, and companionship to clients. Reliable transportation, consistent attendance, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and agency staff are required.
