    Job DescriptionMaterial Handler / Shipyard Materials Support\Job Summary:\The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, transporting, and delivering materials and supplies throughout shipboard and industrial work environments. This role requires safely moving a variety of materials, supporting operations, and maintaining organized storage and inventory areas.\\Key Responsibilities:\\Transport, stage, and deliver materials such as pipe, fittings, vents, valves, insulation, and related supplies to designated work areas.\Move and place materials weighing up to 50 pounds in open spaces, confined spaces, and elevated work locations onboard ships.\Pick, organize, and distribute materials according to work orders and project requirements.\Assist with material storage, inventory control, and material-picking processes.\Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.\Follow all company safety procedures and applicable work instructions.\Provide professional and responsive customer service to internal customers and production teams.\\Physical Requirements:\\Ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry, manipulate, and place materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\Ability to walk, climb, crawl, bend, squat, and stand for up to 8 hours per day.\Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor conditions, confined spaces, and extreme heights onboard ships.\\Required Qualifications:\\High School Diploma or GED required.\Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.\Customer service-oriented with a positive, energetic attitude.\Dependable, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
