Exciting news! We are gearing up for the Hampton Roads Workforce Council’s Hampton Roads Regional Job Fair, and we’d love to invite you to be a Highlighted Employer at this highly anticipated event.

Event Details: Location: Regional Job Fair will be held in Chesapeake at the Chesapeake Convention Center

    Date: June 17th  Time: 10am -3pm

Event Cost: $100 includes 2 representatives and 2 lunches

To build momentum leading up to the job fair, we’re launching an Application Fest Tour, which will showcase 50-60 employers who will be present at the job fair. This tour will take place across all 15 localities, 2-3 weeks prior to the event.

As a Highlighted Employer, you will be featured in our promotional materials and have the opportunity to interview candidates during the job fair. To participate, you must commit to interviewing candidates who apply through the tour and attend the job fair. Importantly, we ask that you do not interview these applicants before the job fair, ensuring that they receive priority interview slots at the event.

    What is an Application Fest?
An Application Fest is an innovative hiring event that connects top talent with outstanding employers like you. It’s designed to create a dynamic and engaging process for both job seekers and employers, allowing for efficient and effective recruitment.

    Why Become a Highlighted Employer?

    • Premium exposure for your company and open positions before, during, and after the event.
    • Featured placement in event promotions and materials.
    • Direct access to job seekers who are actively looking for opportunities.
    • A curated list of applicants who express interest in your positions, allowing you to connect with top candidates.

    What Happens After the Event?

    • You’ll receive a detailed list of applicants and the positions they applied for.
    • You can schedule interviews at the job fair and continue the hiring process.
    • We kindly ask that you keep us updated on the status of each candidate (who was interviewed, who was hired).

Bonus: Hiring Incentive! Don’t forget about the WIOA On-the-Job Training program, which offers 50% wage reimbursements for new hires, up to $5,000—a great resource to help offset hiring costs.

Spots are available for employers to participate, so if you're interested, please RSVP below. Once you register, you can click Highlighted Employer to pay.

We would be thrilled to have your company featured at this exciting event and look forward to collaborating with you to make the hiring process more engaging, efficient, and successful.
    Deadline for registration is 06/06/2025.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We look forward to hearing from you!
